Induction furnaces work on the principle of induction. There is one copper coil in furnaces to create induction by passing the electricity in furnaces. There is requirement of the lining between melting mettle and the lining. Sillica ramming mass is used as lining material to create insulation between copper coil and the melting mettle. Performance of the furnace depends on the quality and stability of the lining material and its quality. Good quality and highly stable lining maintain the smooth working on furnace, maximum output, and control on the meteorological activities.
There are different lining practices as per requirement of the foundry, capacity of the furnace, design of the furnace, type of melting metal.
For regular and effective monitoring of the lining following three parameters are required.
--Application of the required quality of the lining mass
--Follow the exact process of the lining as per recommendation..
--Maintain the consistency of the operations conditions
